Bili - Esperanza

There was only one obviously vegan option, but it was delicious! A vegan paella, even labeled on the menu as vegan. There didn’t appear to be a ton other vegan stuff, the menu was pretty fish heavy, but this is one of the nicer restaurants on Calle Flamboyan and I was happy to have a delicious option. (My partner had fish, some of which I stole to give to the cat. We also had mojitos, which were excellent.

Bili is a omni restaurant, but when I was there, they had a vegan paella marked on the menu. the server were very nice and helped me modify a starter and make it vegan! the black bonnet is vegetarian and can be made vegan by keeping the avocado cream! the vegan paella was pretty good and had many beans and enjoying that it also fills. they also have a vegetarian gnocchi, but it has cream in it and cannot be made vegan. the price is a bit higher here, but if you are looking for something vegan for dinner in esperanza, it is a good bet!

We stumbled over this place after we asked our hotel manager what his favorite restaurants are. this place is incredible! the bartender, collette and amy, another employee, are so friendly and helpful. we had so big talk with both! the black bean-mash appetizer can be made vegan by making the avocado cream for only fresh avocado. I loved it absolutely; we even have another job. I am definitely back on a return trip to vieques!

The black bean mash is vegetarian and can be made vegan by holding the avocado cream! The vegan paella was pretty good and had lots of beans and vegetables in it making it filling as well. They also have a vegetarian gnocchi but it has cream in it and cannot be made vegan. The price point here is a little higher but if you’re looking for something vegan for dinner in Esperanza it’s a good bet!
