Tasty pizza, good personal, very nice, thank you
We LOVE San Martino pizza, but NOT this location. We live in Espinho and will travel to their other locations as the service and food are superior in their other restaurants. I hope the owners come in and bring Espinho up to par. It would be great to have one that's equally as good close by.
We have been here before and enjoyed our meal with family, I believe when this used to operate under a different name, so returning to it we expected a similar experience. How wrong were we. We were greeted rudely by the waitress who seemed to be the boss and appeared to be impatient to have us leave even before we had the chance to be seated. Rude service is something I find very difficult to stomach and once we were served eventually it was as if we no longer existed... even when we finished our meal we could not get anyone's attention so we could pay the bill. As someone who pays for what I have received even if it is terrible I ethically could not leave without paying.. So I eventually stood at the bar and requested several times to pay... however I continued to be ignored by all members of staff. Another customer close told me I should just leave without paying but explaining to this customer it was not my ethic, he offered to take payment from me... (humorously... This was actually the only enjoyable moment in this restaurant). I have since discovered this is a chain of restaurants in the area. I will be avoiding all of them in the future and also advising everyone I know to do the same. Simply horrific.
Three months ago, me and my family decided to go out for dinner and me, feeling an itch for pizza, decided that we could check out S. Martino since we were nearby. Everyone agreed with me. Unfortunately. The first thing we were greeted with was a very rude waiter. I'm okay with people not smiling or greeting people, I understand anyone can have a bad day, but showing that in your tone and how you talk to people is terrible practice. She took our orders and went her way. When our orders came back, brought this time by an older male, I informed him that the foccacia he had brought was not the one we had ordered. Instead of apologizing he made a sarcastic comment on his colleague and took the order away. Few minutes pass and the two are arguing. Granted, they weren't yelling but it was pretty noticeable nonetheless. Then the order comes back and it's simply the same foccacia with a bunch of half haphazardly cut pepperoni chucked on top I'm pretty sure the foccacia I had ordered was supposed to have more than that in the ways of ingredients but alright. They didn't even bother grilling it a little bit on the oven or anything, it was pretty clear that was the least amount of effort they could've put into it. The rest of the food came back, some of the pizzas were burnt on the side, the lasagnas were terribly dry, suffice to say, everyone at the table was disappointed on the food and literally everyone would've preferred grabbing pizza from the nearby Pizza Hut instead. While I was waiting for the others to finish the meal, I noticed how the woman who had served us previously, passed by one of the unoccupied tables and the air movement made one of the paper napkins fall on the ground. As expected of any professional who's respectful towards their customers, she picked it up and put it on the table once more. Brilliant. The only nice and respectful person we met was the young man on the register, but unfortunately, not even he was enough to excuse the rest of the terrible experience. To the waiters, if you per chance read this: I worked in a place where I dealt with customers the way you do and there is nothing poor working conditions, poor pay or whatever may be the reason for you to be this rude and disrespectful, nothing excuses poor behavior towards paying customers who were only respectful to you. I hope you get years of people giving you floor paper napkins too. I can tell you with all honestly that this was the worst gastronomic suggestion I ever made and I feel bad for even recommending it to everyone else. Not me nor my family will ever set foot in this place. Never again.
