I've been to T42 several times previously and enjoyed it. It had a good atmosphere, live music or a DJ and enough people to give the place atmosphere and a fun spirit. We've even danced there after dinner! When I made the reservation for 7 people this evening I made a note that this was a birthday celebration. It was so disappointing! There was no live music or DJ, very few people in the place and yet the service was extremely slow and pretty poor. Several times I and one of my guests had to go looking for the servers. We had to ask for lights to be turned on we were not served our meals at the same time. Several dishes on the menu were not available, ditto several wines. Just an extremely disappointing experience for a birthday celebration. I and my friends won't be returning any time soon. Someone has dropped the ball here.
Mother's Day Went for a nice brunch at T42. Have never been before so was not aware of what to expect. It was explained that they serve small portions meant to be shared... ? . How does one share a small portion? I ordered French toast with peaches. Husband ordered lemon blueberry pancakes. 1 side of crispy potatoes and 1 side of sausage crumbles. What arrived: 1 thin slice of French toast with peaches and cream. Just 1 slice.... Delicious, but kinda wish I didn't share with hubby.... Husband's 2 pancakes were over cooked to nearly burned and dry. Had this not been the case, the flavor would have been very tasty. We didn't complain. Waitress stopped by to ask how the brunch was.... Never received the sides. The ordered went to a different table. She was very apologetic. At this point we should have just paid the bill and left. But, she promised 3 minutes. Potatoes came out not at all crispy and way undercooked. The sausage crumbles were hard marbles. Yup.... Should have just forgone the sides. We were comped the potatoes and 10% of the meal. Would we return? Meh....
We had the pleasure of having our Easter brunch at Anthony’s restaurant, his staff was super sweet, very attentive and they had a lovely musician for the brunch! The food there was superb, which is a rare occurrence in Florida restaurants. The staff members who waited on us in particular were Angel and Suzanne, they made sure we were taken care of every step of the way and we’re just LOVELY people. Highly recommend the spot for tapas. Please give this place a shot you won’t regret it!
We have gone to T42 a few times now. 4 times for dinner and twice for Sunday Brunch. I take my elderly parents there. The 1st time we had brunch, it was okay. They were able to just make my parents scrambled eggs and bacon with a fruit dish. Scrambled eggs and bacon is not a regular menu item but they use those ingredients for most of their other menu items. Yesterday, my parents ordered the same breakfast after waiting over a half hour to place the order. I ordered off the menu an eggs Benedict selection. It was over 45 minutes before I received my food. My parents had not received theirs yet at all (really, scrambled eggs and bacon). Eventually I had to find our waitress and the manager to determine what was going on. The manager came out to our table and said that since the scrambled eggs and bacon were not on the regular menu, the cook had refused to make it!!! REALLY!?!?!? I asked if they were ever going to tell us, or just let us site there all day? There was no answer to that question. The manager did say that he was having to cook prepare the scrambled eggs and bacon. It came out about 10 minutes later. I guess scrambled eggs take longer to cook on their stove than mine. When my parent 's breakfast was finally brought to the table, we were told that they decided not to serve a fruit plate that day (it is normally on their menu). Apparently, there was not fruit to be found but wait what about the berries that were listed as toppings on a few of their breakfast pancakes, waffles, or French toast (not sure which one, but is was listed as a topping on one or more of them). Also, what about the peaches that they wrap the bacon in which was how our Plain bacon actually came? Beyond ridiculous. Another point, which I have mentioned before including to the manager at the time when you have live or loud music in the bar area, which is open to the rest of the restaurant and easily heard Please, please shut the house music off! It 's so annoying!
