Le Vieux Village - Estillac

When a restaurant is good because it is packed. And indeed, the Tuesday lunch time when we visited, this large and unique establishment was PACKED. The menu is traditional French with a few exotic flourishes. Tuna steak at 22 euros was enormous and perfectly cooked but the best value was the three course menu the lentil terrine starter (with foie gras) was really a treat, and the mini dessert selection was enough for two. Service was sometimes abrupt, but only because they were so busy. The decoration (and the location, just off the motorway) are real attractions. It's near a big industrial park, but feels very different, like you are in the countryside. All the food was to a very high standard and exceptional value, and the wine was an absolute bargain.

Do not ask for a supplement of fries (instead of the pasta that you will be served in any way) they will never be brought to you...but they will be counted in your addition...with the commercial smile...not always...not at the cashier anyway!

Nice setting, delicious and very pro waitress. dishes and tasteful dishes and in sufficient quantity. think to book because you risk staying out... reasonable price

Discovered during a lunch under the trees of the outdoor terrace. It's nice, but it's not impossible for you to share a table with strangers. different very affordable formulas, with very filled plates. this restaurant favors quantity rather than quality. waitresses are friendly, but you need performance, so very speed.

Good restaurant for lunch. the service is pleasant, the frame also. the value/price ratio is good.
