This has happened more than once. I had hoped they were just milking the cows or cleaning the machines in the back, but they were not. Maybe it's the barista who meticulously crafts the crema, but no, it's not worth the wait.
I had a previous review for this caffe only 2 stars, but need to change these on the basis of recent experience. the coffee remains great and eating is exceptional. loves **** toastia! gluten free options are fantastic. service is amazing that they. welcome. they will be recommending
These young baristas at Lord of Pour really know their coffee, but it's rare for me to enjoy coffee at a new cafe right away. I usually have to learn what I like by getting to know the barista and trying different options. Unfortunately, on my first visit, I didn't enjoy the coffee I ordered at Lord of Pour. I prefer ristretto, but they didn't offer it when I asked. I should have listened and tried something else, but I insisted on a short espresso. The coffee I received was a single-origin Colombian bean with a high acidity typical of that region. While it might be good in a milk drink, as a straight coffee it was too intense for my taste. To achieve a balanced and complex coffee flavor, a ristretto requires a blend of beans. If I had known before ordering, I would have asked for a blend or waited for one to be available. If I had to choose a single origin, I would prefer a coffee from New Guinea or Brazil. The lesson I learned is to trust the expertise of coffee lovers at Lord of Pour, but don't hesitate to ask for their recommendations to ensure you enjoy your coffee experience.
My partner and I were on a weekend getaway and had heard wonderful things about Lords of Pour. We were not disappointed. As self-proclaimed coffee snobs who have a love for long blacks (which can be hard to find), we were very impressed with the quality of the long black we had. We decided to also stay for breakfast and it was definitely worth it. The food was delicious, well-presented, and the atmosphere was relaxed and down-to-earth. We would definitely return in the future.
What a surprisingly interesting coffee shop. Not just enjoying a great coffee and date slice, we were entertained by the staff. They must be taking happy pills. They made sure we had good time Ps. Very clean toilets.
