That was our second trip to the grand taverne. who could not love this place? it is historical, has a great ambiente, good eating and great staff.
Never disappointed. like the new decoration. Hopefully they'll never get rid of the goat cheesecake.
We really enjoyed the meal, my man loved the filet, I had the gay that was also excellent. the service was also very good, but they sat us next to the loud bar, and to another couple than there were many open tables. they also had a big piano in the dining room, but no pianist, surprisingly for us since it was a Friday night. we really enjoyed that. it was our jubilee, it would have been nice if they had asked if it were a special occasion.
Food was good but not what I would expect for the prices. It would make a better casual restaurant than fine dining. There were no other customers in the restaurant and there was a home office set up maybe 10 feet from our table where an employee was checking in hotel guests. Nothing about the operation felt professional or refined. The food was the saving grace of it, but if I'm driving to Eureka Springs and spending $80-100 on a meal (with no desserts, drinks, or appetizers), I expect more from the food.
