The employees are friendly (shoutout to Anna! and there's seldom a wait at the checkout line. I wish there was a more variety in the seafood section.
If you haven 't yet been to Whole Foods, but are looking for a place for affordable groceries, don 't go there anytime soon. That being said, you get what you pay for. The atmosphere is awesome and the food is even better. Most of the organic or all-natural produce is complimented by the longevity of its shelf life. There is always a fantastic selection of craft brews and wines as well which transitions into a great fresh foods buffet. There are also a huge variety of healthy options. They don 't call it 'Whole Check ' for nothing, because 'you are going to spend your whole check if you go there '! In all, you don 't come here to save a quick buck, but if you are tired shopping at your bland grocery store and are willing to treat yourself, head on down here.
Clean, good selection, great staff who are very helpful. People who complain about the prices should go elsewhere, as Whole Foods is notoriously expensive. BUT the quality is better, the food (especially the produce and meat) stays fresh a lot longer, and their organic anything is cheaper than the same organic food you can get at Dominicks or Jewel. Their meat in particular is GREAT. I feel so much healthier since I started eating organic and cruelty-free. My doctor told me that healthwise I will save a lot in the long run on medical bills by eating the right foods now. I'll still go to those other grocery stores for staples that don't really matter, but for food that goes into my body, Whole Foods is by far the best choice.
I still can't believe that Evanston has two Whole Foods Markets lol but this one is great. Big store with a large selection of offerings. Their hot food bar is yummy. I've tried the salmon, sauteed spinach and roasted vegetables. It was delicious.
The cashiers are always super friendly here! I also prefer this location to the one downtown because it's bigger and offers more.
