I've placed a large order for my brother's birthday party at the 5 Rivers. This was my first time ordering not knowing what the food would taste like. Hearing about the family business and their resilience through this economic instability, I decided togive them a try. I ordered the lamb biryani, chicken mango curry, and garlic naan. Everything came out to around $260.Initially, it felt a bit high. But I wanted to wait for the food to decide. When I picked up the food. It came to my delightthat the restaurant packed MORE food than I expected. I think it would have been enough for 20 people and then some leftovers. Ienjoy the hospitality. Let's talk about the dishes. My parents are rarely into Indian food. But the dishes here were so wellcooked that they complimented non-stop. I asked everyone at the dinner and they gave the food an average of 4.5/5. That's VERYhigh! Don't let the corner plaza fool you. Give 5 Rivers a try. You won't be disappointed!
Radical hospitality at its best! I had no idea this restaurant had been closed for months after a fire burnt down their seating area. The restaurant is now open for take out and delivery. I stopped by and picked up some lunch dal maharani was superb perfectly cooked and spiced, with vegetable kofta curry. The koftas were soft, flavorful and the gravy was silky buttery smooth. All served with jeera rice fluffy and tender king grains of fragrant basmati rice cooked with a touch of ghee. While I waswaiting for the food to be packed, I was treated like family and served piping hot chai and pakodas. The owner and their familymembers were present and we chatted for a bit. Indian food lovers in north seattle this is a not to be missed place for sure!
We ordered food for a party at home. The portions were so generous, we ended up getting double of what we needed. But the guests were more than happy to take the leftovers home- the food was so delicious! Veg korma, paneer butter masala and gulab jamun werespecially well liked! Everyone wanted to know where we got the food from. Excellent place and the owner is really helping andnice. One advice- the gulab jamuns come coated with coconut flakes. You might want to raise a special request if you want themwithout.
Best Indian food in the Seattle area. The Tandoori fried chicken and Samosas are amazing. And I love the Butter Chicken.
