This time, I thought I'd just take a look as I passed by, but the modern yet classic interior drew me in, and I ended up walking into the bakery. The smell of freshly baked bread and the warm greeting from the owner made me realize I was already selecting various baked goods before I knew it. The place was so clean and well maintained that I thought it was newly opened, but I was surprised to learn it's been around for about eight years (as of 2024). You can immediately tell how much effort the owner puts into keeping the shop spotless and organized. I also appreciated that the bread here isn’t overly sweet, and they offer some unique items I hadn’t seen elsewhere. This is definitely a bakery I’d visit often if I lived nearby. I heard their pizza is also delicious, though I didn’t get the chance to try it this time. Here's a detailed review of this bakery: Service: The service here is excellent, with the owner being exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Price: The prices are reasonable, especially considering the gourmet quality of their pastries, cookies, and pizzas. However, the coffee could use a bit more depth and richness in flavor. Food: The pastries are delicious and pleasantly not too sweet, which I prefer. Just be sure to enjoy them soon, as they tend to dry out quickly. Ambiance: Cute and lovely! There’s a small indoor seating area and some outdoor seating, but the bakery primarily caters to take out customers. Parking: While parking is available, the lot tends to fill up quickly. Nonetheless, finding a spot was manageable, and it's free of charge.
Choux Choux is a true haven for anyone with a passion for exceptional baked goods. From the moment you step through the door, the tantalizing aroma of freshly baked pastries and breads envelops you, promising a culinary experience like no other. The star of the show here is undoubtedly the baked goods. Every item is crafted with the utmost care and attention to detail, resulting in a product that is nothing short of perfection. Whether you’re indulging in their flaky croissants, decadent cakes, or their renowned artisan breads, each bite is a testament to their dedication to quality and flavor. The variety is impressive, catering to both traditional tastes and those seeking something a bit more adventurous. Among their stellar offerings, the espresso roll stands out as an absolute must-try. It's a treat that not only satisfies your sweet tooth but also energizes you with its robust coffee flavor. Truly, the espresso roll is to die for and a testament to the bakery's innovative flair. While the coffee here is decent, it doesn’t quite match the extraordinary standard set by the bakery’s other offerings. However, it serves as a suitable accompaniment to the main event – the baked goods. In summary, this bakery is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates high-quality, lovingly made baked goods. The friendly staff and inviting atmosphere make it a delightful spot to enjoy a sweet treat or a hearty loaf. Despite the limited indoor seating and decent coffee, the exceptional quality of their baked goods, especially the divine espresso roll, ensures you’ll be returning time and again
Ordered a cake for my granddaughters graduation. Figured it was a special occasion so I paid way more than normal. It looked great as far as decorating was concerned. When I went to serve it...it was 3 layers and fell apart when cutting. Chunks of frosting came off each slice. When all the guests were eating it....there were NO comments. It was really dry and kinda tasteless. I was beyond disappointed. It was a splurge. I couldn't reach anyone by phone. I left a mssg and never got a response. ....major bummer
Update July 2024: 2nd attempt within two months to visit this business after the store hours in May not being accurate. No vegan bakery options. Original Review: Too strict and rude on 72-hour ordering. Not flexible to provide alternatives. Discouraged from buying a whole pre-sliced cake from the display case as a possible alternative. When ordering online it is clear there is a 72-hour requirement for online orders. No instruction on when ordering in-person. Bottom line. Don't be rude about a policy when other local bakeries set 24-hour expectations for simple 8 round chocolate cakes. I can understand longer lead times for complex or large orders. Dietary restrictions: No vegan bakery options. They occasionally will have vegan soup or pizza.
No gluten free options available when I was there, but everything looked yummy! Dietary restrictions: Although gluten free croissants advertised, none were available. Darn!!!
