On a Sunday night, we waited two hours to be seated, and it was still packed when they were about to close. It took almost an hour for our food to arrive for just two people. The Cobb salad was fine, but the salmon was tough and dry, the rice was overly mushy, and the asparagus was quite undercooked. Personally, I’m not a fan of the beer cheese; it has a rough texture and a mustard-like taste that feels misleading. On a positive note, our waitress was very friendly and even offered to remove the salmon from our bill, which I appreciated. I felt bad for the staff, as this place seems either overwhelmed with customers or possibly understaffed, and the quality of the food just isn’t what it should be.
Great service and a solid selection of brews, along with a decent menu offering. We docked our boat after sailing around the sound to grab a bite. The shell strips and chips are on the smaller side, as are the onion rings. While the onion rings look appealing, the batter isn't great, and the onions can be a bit soggy. However, the burgers are quite tasty. The Philly cheesesteak sandwich is definitely worth a try, and the fish and chips are pretty good too. If you're in the mood for lunch, this place is a decent choice.
Great beer if you weren't! Two stars for beer. 1 for service, other wise food was casual good, but not worth $40 for a fish sandwich and 2 beers. Don't understand the onion rings, they were so delicate with oil. The fish sandwich was great after I added tartaric acid for $0.25. As you can see, the Mayo was cut off on the side. Bartender gave great beer and menu advice and service was great other than the boy's host told me the terrace was full when there were clear 2 tables open...
What a fantastic spot to unwind with a beer and some fish and chips! My husband is a huge fan of the Jumbo Tiger Shrimps. And the pub wings are a hit with everyone! We ordered the buffalo wings with bleu cheese, but they were devoured so quickly that I didn't even have time to snap a picture.
This place has ruined me for other hamburgers. The Boson Burger is hands down the best burger I have ever had. It is built immaculately, the ratio of flavors is perfect, and the produce used is absolutely beautiful. The restaurant ambience blends the perfect amount of a full fledged bar and the family friendly atmosphere of other sit down restaurants. The real estate looking out on the waters of the Port makes this place an essential institution for all.
