Contribuisci feedbackI visited the restaurant in the morning and found that the place was dirty. The cup for my pot of tea was dirty as well, so I had to ask for a clean one. Overall, the restaurant felt dirty with flies and cobwebs on the window sill.
I often visit this Costa when I'm in Exeter city center for shopping or errands. The staff are always quick, friendly, and make great coffee. However, on my last visit, I noticed flies covering the ceiling and walls. This was a major turn-off for me, and I am unlikely to return. It's a shame because the staff are great, even better than the other Costa on the high street. The fly infestation is a problem that needs to be addressed. This is not a complaint about the service or the product, just the presence of flies in the cafe.
On Saturday afternoon, September 3rd, we went to the Costa branch in Princesshay in Exeter. We ordered two flat whites for £3.15 each, and they were quickly made for us. We sat at a table by the window and watched people go by while we sipped our coffees. There isn't much seating at street level, but there is more downstairs. The coffee was great, the service was efficient and friendly, so we had a good experience overall.
Absolutely shambolic service! Waited out in the rain for a coffee and thought they must just be very busy.. When it actually came to me being served, I understood why there was a queue. The four women on shift were shouting and chatting among themselves rather than getting through customer orders. Girl on till barely paid any notice to me when I came to till and kept pulling her mask down to chat to colleagues. The staff were so distracted the made my coffee wrong so they said they would make it again but by the looks of things and how the coffee was handed to me, it looked as if the ‘old’ coffee had just been poured into a new cup. Having worked in a Costa for several years, I know what service to expect and this was not it. Do not recommend if you are looking for a quick coffee with good customer service. Will not be returning to this store until changes are made which is a real shame.
I usually enjoy a Costa coffee but was very disappointed today. Service was slow, the coffee was poor and there were no wraps. I also suffered at the hands of the over-zealous covid marshal who broke the law insisting on seeing a ‘mask exemption letter from a Dr’. There is no such requirement.
