(peanut butter pie) Once I had the dinner, that was it for me. I miss it so much! I can't wait to visit Alaska and come celebrate at Wolf Run
I really enjoyed our midweek date night at the Wolf Run. For starters, I appreciate that they had PRIME RIB on the menu. The meals came out and they were beautifully plated, so fresh and clean and visually pleasing. Each element on the plate was pretty much perfectly balanced with the item it was served with...the sauce, the reduction, the capers, and the greens atop the Prime Rib, paired so well! The Mac and Cheese was a little different. I won 't say bad, because it wasn 't. But just DIFFERENT. It had a good crunchy element that added to the experience, but there was a bit too much tang to it. I won 't knock it for that, though, because I have a feeling someone would really miss out on it, if I didn 't say that it was a very unique and yet Mac Cheese interpretation. The ONLY thing did take away from it was the macaroni was a bit over soft/over cooked. Not toothy. (Not trying to sound like a diner diva here.... The Onion Rings that came with the Hot Wings were actually the best onion rings I 've had in a long time. They were CRUNCHY and NOT greasy. They had REAL rings of onion inside, and they were just amazing. A little dash of seasoning would be lovely. They Hot Wings were also very well made and plated. The desserts were tasty, the only thing I will say is they felt like they were all plated up (with the whipped cream and cherry and special sauces well ahead of time, and refrigerated that way. Kind of had a 'fridge ' feel/taste to them...and I don 't mean a BAD TASTE...because they had GOOD FLAVOR, just way prepped taste/feel. I would get dessert there again, for sure, but that 's just my particular ness in that area. The service was good, too. Overall: 9 out of 10
We are first time visitors to Fairbanks and stopped at this restaurant for dinner. The prime rib was delicious and our waitress Kayla was attentive and personable. This ambience was rustic. Our compliments to the chef.
Went here for my Birthday dinner and they were amazing! The food was fantastic and the service was equally as fantastic!!! We had a server checking on us every 5 minutes or so and they were so kind! The chef heard It was my birthday and came out himself to wish me a happy birthday! Highly recommend!
Friendly and accommodating staff. Large portions. I only took off a star because, as a vegetarian, I had to make my dinner out of mozzarella sticks and a pretty basic salad. Desserts are very worth saving room for!
