The outdoor restaurant is active when the main restaurant is closed. A great place to rest with an amazing view towards the lake. Excellent service and excellent hospitality strongly recommends!!!!!
We enjoyed our dinner in this bustling restaurant: generous portions of salad with appetizing dressings. These were followed by rack of lamb (deliciously rare) served with excellent Mediterranean vegetables and a baked potato stuffed with Epoisses cheese - the cheese proving a little superfluous. Our other main course was a Wiener Schnitzel with luke-warm potato salad (scrumptious). A small carafe of a local Vully red wine and espresso rounded off our meal. While the espresso could have been stronger, the bread (Baslerbrot from the Buttergipfel bakery in Murten) was outstanding. The decor is stark and tasteful, and the shaded outdoor terrace looked most inviting. We'll be back.
This little Restaurant is situated just next to the lake of Murten in a calm environment. It looks as you expect from a "wharf-restaurant". The service is friendly. The menu list Shows a good variety. The negative point is the price: Much too high for such a Restaurant. A plate of "fish&chips" is CHF 27.- and the quality does not matches our expectation. The wine list is expensive and international, I expected more local wines. Overall, we can state that this Restaurant is not really recommended. It is just newly opened some weeks ago, hope for them to adapt...
We had lunch on a sunday on the nice and lake overlooking terrasse. Waitresses were nice and professional and advised us well on the choice of wine. While waiting for the dishes we ordered we had our apéritiv, however expensive (1 dl of tap water for a campari comes at an additional 2.50 CHF) we were not offered any nuts, or olives and no bread was offered either. The meals were of average quality. The baked potato was much too small but was swimming in sour cream. The steak was of good quality and the vegetables fresh. My wifes souvlaki with pork meat was rather chewy and chickpeas didn't really fit well with a greek dish. Overall nice lunch thanks to the friendly service and nice location but clearly overpriced for the kind of restaurant.
Nice restaurant , friendly staff , nice menu with very little choice, we had vegetarian guest who had a hard choice, we had menu du jour chicken wings which were nice but a poor menu for a above pricy restaurant.
