I visited this restaurant several times in July 2018, and I found it to be a very welcoming place with a lovely atmosphere and excellent coffee. I will definitely be returning, and next time I plan on trying out the food.
I have never visited this restaurant before, but I had a light lunch there. They have a comprehensive menu. When I asked at the counter what was in the chef's salad, the young woman was very rude and complained to a gentleman sitting in the back of the cafe. I hope she doesn't usually serve customers and maybe needs some customer service training. However, the gentleman came over and explained that the salad was delicious with mixed greens, tomatoes, cucumber, olives, gherkins, beetroot, and a large portion of pesto-coated chicken. Even though I couldn't finish it all, I would like to go back another time to try something else. It would be helpful for the staff to be more professional when dealing with the public. The young woman was also loud when discussing drinks in the refrigerator with her colleague, and she took a phone call loudly while I was eating. But after she finished serving me, she called me sweet. Hey.
Every café that has a giraffe on the front of the menu is OK from me. iMBIZO is African themes, but the menu, while far-reaching, covers the usual suspects such as toasties, paninis etc. Comfortable, with comfortable seating. On the day... I visited, a steady flow of customers came through the door, a good sign in an area where there were a number of food decisions. The coffee was good.
Myself and 2 friends visited cafe imbizo for coffees. Firstly they got cost wrong, then it took 15 mins to bring us the wrong drinks and then another 15 to bring us 2 right ones and my friend accepted wrong drink as she couldn't wait...any longer. When we asked for chocolate on our cappuccino we were told no we don't do that here. All this while we were the only people in there and there at least 4 staff. Now I'm not surprised we were only people.
