More than a little disappointed today , there’s normally a queue but todays was abysmal. Why they can’t reorganise the space inside to make queueing easier is beyond reason. Queuing never works once it’s beyond a hand full of people , when we all have to randomly snake inside and outside the tearoom. They’ve had years to think and sort something out. Making matters worse was the poor person on till, obvs not 100% trained for fast service. On the bright side , outside seating arrangements were perfect , plenty of seating and some even undercover
Not really sure what some people are expecting with some of the reviews. I think some forget that It’s a tea room for light refreshments not a Michelin star restaurant with full menu selection. There is tea, coffee and a selection of sandwiches, cakes and snacks in a beautiful location with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Perfect stop off after a nice walk. What’s not to like
Lovely place, ice cream place brilliant, beautiful surroundings plenty of walks, great for dogs Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
Not a great variety of cakes to choose from so had flapjack to share, very bland. Tea was served in disposable cups which affects the taste, much prefer proper crockery. Service: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: £1–10 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
