We unfortunately arrived just 10 minutes before closing yesterday, but the staff was incredibly warm and welcoming! Since it was our first visit, the barista took the time to inform us about the specials, the extensive drink menu, and offered fantastic recommendations. We ordered a buttercream and a seers coffee, both made with evident care and love. We also tried two different pastry cookies, and while waiting for our coffee, we had a delightful conversation with the barista who has been working there for five years. She truly has a vibrant personality and her coffee was exceptional. Overall, we left with the impression of a lovely place with excellent service, even though we arrived just before closing. I forgot to catch her name, but thank you for a wonderful experience!
You are in the right place if you are looking for a local eatery with lay back atmosphere. poverty bay hash breakfast was fresh and generously portion. The poverty jack sandwich was excellent.
Waited about 35 minutes to get my food and when it did arive the silverware was dirty...so that was a bit off putting. But other then that it was hot and VERY good! Leaving full and satisfied
Food was great had to wait over 40 minutes after we sat down (Only reason for the 3 stars). Highly recommend, be cautious on a Sunday morning to avoid wait times. Staff is amazing, as well.
My girlfriend had been talking this place up all week, so naturally I was excited to try it because she’s really good at picking out delicious breakfast spots. Upon arrival we were greeted with smiles from a friendly hostess and seated promptly. The waiter/waitress took our drink order and said they would return to proceed with our food order. After a few minutes there were 3 other parties that arrived. It seemed that our server had forgot about us because they helped the other parties, checked on other tables and never returned to us to get our order. We ended up leaving without eating. Long story short the place is cute, and they have a decently priced menu with a few good breakfast/lunch options, but the staff is young and not that experienced. Nicole was our server. Buyer beware.
