I 'm a big fan of Mexican food (the real stuff, SoCal Mex, TexMex ... you name it), and this was probably the best Mexican meal I 've eaten in New Zealand. The fried pickles and jalapeño poppers we ordered as entrees were absolutely mouth-watering, and the mains (between us we ordered two quesadillas, the nachos and a couple of tacos) were all delicious with wonderful, complex flavours and generous portions. What 's more, despite being busy the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back.

Our favourite place in Whitianga!!! This family run place always blows us away. The food is clearly made with love. So flavourful and well composed. The staff is warm and welcoming and happy to help with any questions, so don't be shy if you don't know mexican food! The wonderful bartender makes beautiful cocktails and the perfect classic Margarita. Some of our menu favourites are poppers (no one else does them like this! , the chicken mole taco, the HUGE nachos and the beef burrito, oh and the churros!!! Honestly, you can't go wrong. We love their ferry landing location and look forward to their move to Whitianga proper! This place is a MUST GO!

Feels like we are in Mexico. The decoration hanging on the wall are sumbrero, platito and Mexico litrato. Mexican food were superb. Highly recommended.
