He took tables, had a few people at the breakfast table and he cooked. We have the whole stack of chocolate chip pancakes and turkey club. You were great. Pancake as a bug like the plate and the club was on point...yummy!! We were out in less than 40 minutes, even with a conversation a bit after dinner. I definitely recommend
It’s a misty Monday afternoon here in Fitchburg, MA. Ed is manning the stove — and just about everything else — down at the 5th St Diner. His wife usually works mornings he says. The bell rings — that’s a customer. Ed surveys the situation and instantly takes charge. “Cahfee?” he says as we walk through the door. “Yes please,” we reply. Today is gonna be a good day. The first thing you notice when you walk in the 5th St Diner are the thousands of pictures of happy customers lining every wall. Before you even get to the food you know this place is special. The 5th St Diner has a true Mom and Pop atmosphere, unbeatable prices, and the food to back it all up. What’s not to love?
If I was nominating the most 'mom pop ' joint of all the diners out there, this would be it. A 2-man operation, I feel like I 'm sitting in my mum 's kitchen waiting for breakfast. This is legit as non-corporate as you can get, it 's cash only and no atm, so plan aheadd and bring your appetite
We visit here often in the mornings. Tina is wonderful. If you're looking for a quick and affordable breakfast, this is the spot to go.
98% of the meals are consistently excellent. I love Ed and Tina; their food is fantastic, and the prices are reasonable.
