Il Rosso's Pizzeria - Flagstaff

Il Rosso is my favorite restaurant in town. I eat here at least once a week, and will continue to for as long as I live in Flagstaff. The red sauce is the best I've ever had, and I love the dishes it's prepared with. Their house cocktail list and desserts are also really good. Most of all, I love how every person I've talked to has told me how much they like working here. I have yet to bring anyone who has not enjoyed dining here.

Don’t listen to the angry old white people in the comments. We went here on a busy Friday night and had the best experience. We ordered all of our dishes at once (8) and the waitress remembered them all without writing a single thing down. She always kept our waters filled and the food was AMAZING. We will be coming back again very soon!

I am very annoyed that her calzone is better than my favorite ruheuraunt in Phoenix. The best I had in Flagstaff! Recipes from New Jersey and it shows! Now we have another reason to come to the flag on weekends!

Downtown Flagstaff is a super charming place that I'd like go figure out a way to spend more time in, someday. I had my kids and it was later so many places were closed. I saw this place and figured Pizza is generally a hit. Service was fine and Pizza was too. The place is small and maybe set up more for a college crowd or something. There were no problems, it was just not a warm and welcome place for a hungry family. Again, no one did anything wrong, just making sure the vibe/context is understood. The best part is that this place was open and food was good. If they expand their vision for their target demo, I think this could be great. Or, maybe if I spent more time in Flagstaff, I might find that they've nailed it.

This restaurant is primarily a pizza place, but it also offers a variety of pasta dishes. It’s a fusion of Italian and American cuisine. They serve deep-fried hot dogs and crispy fries smothered in marinara sauce and melted cheese. The lasagna here is among the best I’ve ever had, and the eggplant parmesan is cooked to perfection. There's something for everyone on the menu, and the staff are perfectly adequate.
