Some of us had some great ones but others were little disappointed. Chicken kurma particularly was a big no no. Would consider going back but will be selective of what I order.
We live close by so it is a convenient location. it is a great location for families with young children as there is a safe outdoor playground next to the restaurant and you can eat at a table outside overlooking the playground. But that is the only good thing about this restaurant. from the sticky floors when we entered, the 9 lights that we not working, the hand made "Do not Open" sign on the door at the rear of the restaurant to the terrible choice of artwork and all those "official' signs stuck to the walls (not to mention the horricfic attempts at mounting their picture frames to the walls ( I am a picture framer so bear with me on this detail). the decore is not welcoming.Basically it is like being served a meal by a group of teenagers. we entered and approached the counter where two people stood. the man asked us if we were esting in, then waved his arm to a table on the other side of (empty except family of 4 at one table) the restaurant and said sit there. a staff member came and put a bowl of poppadams and some sweet sticky sauce on our table with a jug of tap water.we had to ask about the specials and then she brought us a take away leaflet to show us the special deal. we had to ask her to explain what the special deal meant and finally got the message. We have dined at this restaurant before and again found the service very poor and very slow and you get the feeling the staff would rather be doing something else. But the reason I say give this a miss is. the Korma and Butter Chicken dishes are so sweet it is ridiculous. Do not order them unless you enjoy a tonne of sweetness with your lamb, chicken etc.
Service was good, the food came with a bite which was nice. The naan bread and butter chicken were delicious. Overall great experience
Went there on a Groupon voucher , shared starter ( vegetable pakora, good portion ) followed by butter chicken and lamb kalhari , tasty . Service was slow so never got to desert . Close to home so very likely will be back.
I don't tend to eat in Indian restaurants in Perth too often as I find any I have been too expensive and the portions are usually a bit lacking - they have always tasted good though. However as I hadn't eaten Indian for a while I decided to give it another go and rather than go to any I had been to in the past I thought I'd try local for a change and gave these guys a call. The girl who answered the phone was very helpful and answered my questions about the spicieness of various curries etc, and suggested some she thought I would like. I placed my order but left out the rice as we were having naan and paratha. The food is all freshly made so it's not fast food as such, I think it was about an hour and a half or so before it was delivered - no problem to me at all. When it arrived it was well worth the wait, and they included a large portion of rice and some popadums for no extra charge. The vegetable pakora was lovely, quite spicy though and as much as I enjoyed I personally prefer pakora made with individual vegetables rather than chopped together. We shared a fish bhuna, which was delicious and cooked perfectly with the fish just flaking, and a lentil dal with naan and paratha. The portions were huge and one main is enough for two people, add rice and the obligatory naan bread and you have a very hearty meal. We had half the curry and the dal left over for the next day and the rice wasn't even opened (it's now in the freezer waiting to live another day). The naan and paratha were huge, but we still managed to munch our way through both of them. This really was excellent value, very tasty food and twice the amount and considerably less expensive then many of the other Indian restaurants. After that I don't think it will be as long until I have another Indian meal and will will certainly give them a another go.
