El Torero Mexican Grill - Flowood

This was our first time visiting this restaurant since moving to Hattiesburg. I must say, the staff here are very friendly, especially our server who greeted us with a beautiful smile. The food was excellent - I ordered the happy meal from the lunch express menu. Overall, it was a great experience and we look forward to coming back again soon.

I ordered tamales and this is how they looked when I opened them. I am shocked that they would serve this to a customer. The tamales were filled with fat and cartilage. I also ordered flan, but they gave me cheesecake instead, which I am allergic to. I have known about this restaurant for over 10 years, but I had never tried it until now. I am extremely disappointed in the quality of the food. They should be ashamed of themselves. I regret not checking my order before leaving.

This Mexican restaurant is a hidden gem located in a strip mall. As a Texan, I know good Mexican food, and this place did not disappoint. The margaritas, both frozen and on the rocks, were top-notch. The cheesy dip with ground meat and pico de gallo was tasty, especially when paired with warm, crunchy tortilla chips. While the cheese was a bit thin, it complemented the pico perfectly. The quesadillas were filled with flavorful fajita meat, squash, and pepper cheese, making them a delicious and generous portion for two people to share. Our waitress, Angelica, was friendly, helpful, and efficient. Her service was excellent! I only wish we lived closer so we could make this restaurant a regular dining spot.

Everything we ordered was old and disgusting. I ordered the carne asada, but it was dry and flavorless. My friend had the fajitas, but they were served cold. The only saving grace were the margaritas. The atmosphere was a bit odd, with the girls in the bar giving off a creepy vibe. And can you believe they don't even make their own tortillas there? Needless to say, I will not be returning.

This restaurant is one of our favorite spots for delicious Mexican cuisine! The owner is always cheerful and welcoming. He especially enjoys it when you converse with him in Spanish. The menu offers a wide variety of options, making it easy to find something for everyone. The food is excellent - muy bien!
