The whole idea of sourcing from local farmers and being environmentally conscious makes it truly special. P.S. Don't think you can find a burger that tastes better anywhere else in the area!
The warm glow from the amber lights hanging above each table was somewhat distracting as we walked in at sunset. However, it created a charming atmosphere compared to the harsh white fluorescent lighting of neighboring businesses, like a roadside shop and a Domino's pizza outlet. Upon entering, I noticed that the amber glass fixtures could use a little polishing. The open kitchen’s steam venting into the dining area left some condensation on the glass, but aside from that, the restaurant was clean and well-organized, including the restrooms. We were welcomed with smiles, and the cutlery and menus were neatly presented on the table. Clear glass tumblers were filled with chilled, flat water from a branded bottle. We ordered two milkshakes from Homestead Creamery—one peach, one chocolate—as well as a portion of onion rings to start. For our main course, we decided to share a burger featuring smoked Gouda-Pimento cheese, fried green tomatoes, and thick-cut bacon. Later, we added a mushroom and Swiss burger to our order to share as well. The milkshakes took a little while to arrive, but they were so delicious that the wait was well worth it. We indulged in them eagerly, savoring every last drop of cream and ice along with the cookie crumbles. Everything was exceptional. After finishing our shakes, the first burger arrived. I sliced it in half and devoured mine in just four bites. Stephanie showed a bit more restraint, but not by much. We couldn’t help but express our delight with satisfied murmurs as we chewed, barely pausing to speak between bites. I paired my burger with freshly cut fries that had been perfectly fried to a golden brown. I was determined to finish every last drop of my shake, but the fries were so tasty that I quickly forgot about that goal. Just as I polished off the last crisp pieces from my fry cup, a plate of golden onion rings arrived at the table. They were just as addictive as everything we had enjoyed so far. The onions were served with a special sauce that was sweet and spicier than Thousand Island dressing. As we dug into the rings, the second burger showed up. I again halved it and took a big bite, which prompted me to sink back into my seat. We were definitely full by this point. The service had that endearing, quirky charm typical of family-owned restaurants, and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. The staff was busy but attentive, managing everything seamlessly. Overall, I would rate the curb appeal at 4 out of 5 stars, the food quality at 3 out of 5 stars, and the feeling you leave with at a perfect 5 out of 5 stars.
If you're looking for the best burger you've ever had, you absolutely must visit Eckburger! The food is incredibly fresh, and the French fries are to die for. The buns are freshly baked, and the service was outstanding. We will definitely be returning many times in the future!
I tried to find the best burger in this area and I have to admit that the Eckburger has it... the best in the area.
No idea why we waited so long to give this place a try but we'll definitely be back to try more menu items. We had amazing food and top notch service today. From the onion rings to the milkshake we wouldn't have changed a thing!
