I feel this station is lying to people trying to get them to gas up here instead of the station across the freeway because the price is huge, but E88 is tiny and you think the price is for regular gas. The other station Loves) advertises their gas for regular gas and not the inferior gas of E88. Shame on you, Holdiday :
Deceptive!!!! They have been trying to keep up with the low unleaded prices of LOVES and apparently they can’t keep up any longer so they replaced the unleaded 87 large sign with “88” and therefore people are lead to believe the price is the same as LOVES for unleaded but when in fact it’s much higher. No longer going to this store
Monday August 21st 2023 9:30pm They are out of 87 Octane so all pump handles that pump the 87, 89 91 Octane from the same pumps are all unable to be used, so even though they have 89 91 Octane, you can't pump them at all, and the only fuel available right now is the weaker 88 Octane that has 15% Ethanol and burns hotter than the 87 Octane which only has 10% ethanol and burns cleaner because it has less ethanol. The more ethanol in the fuel from corn, the hotter it will burn and the dirtier it will leave your engine from more build up. Typically the 88 Octane at most gas stations is usually a bit cheaper than the 87 but it's still not worth running it because since it burns hotter then you use more so the fuel mileage is roughly the same but that 88 leaves your engine in worse shape. The 2 young men working said a Fuel Truck should be on its way, but they don't know when it will arrive here. Other than the fuel, you'll see by my 80 pictures, this location is pretty well stocked up on the many things they have available outside like Water Softner Salt, Firewood Bundles and Washer Fluid as well as they're stocked up well inside on most things. This location has a RedBox for movies, Post office Mail box, massive ice cooler outside, Fed ex drop box, and they sell refillable propane bottles and fuel. The store was pretty clean inside as they were mopping, cleaning and counting their cigarette inventory while I was inside. The employees were pretty friendly and laughed when I told them I wasn't casing the joint and only snapping all the pictures for a somewhat thorough review of the place for their benefit. Many other people have left somewhat bad reviews of their own experiences. I've only ever been here a small handful of times and I honestly have had tiny gripes about a few small things but not the end of the world although I would maybe head elsewhere unless I knew they had something that the next closet gas stations did not although theirs the New Loves Truck Stop right across I35 to the East and East of their yet maybe (1) mile their is a Newer Kwik Trip and all those are huge with tons of things and a big variety if stuff to purchase inside the store as well. I really only stop at this Holiday when the gas is super cheap or the cheapest in the area which they often are, it's like the have a gas war going on with the Loves Truck Stop. I did end up tipping off my fuel tank while I was here with the 88 Octane because it is only $3.369 per gallon which is pretty cheap considering the prices of fuel at many places is at least $3.599 to $3.699 for the 87 Octane so I was totally ok with this. They also have lots of parking here in their big parking lot and they do have the seperate diesel fuel islands with a bunch of pumps for the semi trucks and anyone with a big diesel engine. So I gave them a 3 Star Rating because they didn't have my $3.289 per gallon 87 Octane and they didn't have the 89 or 91 available because the 87 is out, although they have 89 91, which seems pretty stupid and they are losing money because of that. I will only continue to come back for the fuel when it is seriously cheaper than any other gas station I may get close to in the near future.
Please ensure all your staff are trained on how to fill propane tanks if you’re going to offer bulk propane.
They're open 24/7 but locked the doors without any signage.
