This town in general is really idyllic and the brewery follows suit with a really cute and charming restaurant. The beer is intense, rich and enjoyable across the varieties I tried . The food was rustic and hearty with the brewers board being a standout . However the service at times was a little sloppy. All in all though a really quaint and relaxing lunch .
Went out to Forrest last weekend and it was my first time in the area, the place was packed but the staff still made time to make you feel special and welcome. Considering how busy they were the food came out quickly. I had the slow braised lamb salad with a tasting paddle of all the beers. The salad was delis and well portioned, the meat fell apart which is what you want. And the beers were all very different which is what you want in a paddle. All in all a great experience
This place was really excellent. In a freezing winter day we came in and were greeted by friendly staff and a warm fire. I ordered the chicken which was tender and perfectly cooked. The beer (on tap) was magnificent. They were also happy to let you try a few to work out what would compliment your meal.
Great food, even better beer and fun/friendly staff. It was exactly what we expected, hearty food with some great beers. We were given a beer tasting board upon arrival. The boss went over the food with us he was very friendly. At the end we purchased a case of beer and he gave us some stubby holders. We've since shared the beer with our friends and look forward to going back to get us some more!
