My Husband and I were in Fort Erie last week to celebrate my Mother's 89th Birthday and this place was suggested by my Family . It was a Tuesday night which is normally a slower night for most restaurants . There were 10 of us and we were well taken care of by a very nice Waitress . The food is mostly Italian and very enjoyable . My husband ordered chicken fingers and they were quite good . The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable .I had penne pasta with Italian sausage ... very tasty !!! I'm quite certain we'll go back again when visiting Fort Erie .
We have just moved to Fort Erie and we like to support our local shops and restaurants. We stopped to have a quick lunch and my lovely wife ordered the Green soup which she thought was very nice. I had the fish and chips and thank god for the chips. It was okay but lacking flavor. Two coffees and with tip it came to $25.00. Not worth it. Service was good but nothing romantic about this place. Empty when we got there and the same upon leaving. Try some place else.
Last week we had fabulous italian food. I had the Gnocchi ( beautiful pillows) and my husband had the Mount Vesuvius spaghetti and meatballs ( he just loves it!).The service is very good and pleasant. It would help to have it lit a bit lower.Always enjoy stopping in plus the pricing is reasonable.
Tried out this 'cafe' for hot drinks and desserts after a visit to the Fort. It was empty. We ordered coffee, specialty teas, and crepes. The waitress returned to tell us they had no specialty teas (why were they on the menu?), and that they were 'out' of crepes until next Tuesday. We assumed they'd be made fresh for us, but obviously they just get them frozen. Friendly staff but a bit disappointing.
