Food was average. Acceptable. Would I say it was great or amazing?! Not really, not quite there. And price is a little for the stench 2 Uni I had. Food grade is not what I was imagining. Would I go there again? NoIf you’re just in the middle of nowhere and have no choice to cure your sushi cravings ? SureBut place is nice, family friendly. Cute lil toy from the machine on top.Cleanliness, not so much. The same towel was use to wipe everything. Table to disposable bin to tablet. A lil skeptical about the towel. This definitely could be compared to franchise in Japan.Parking: Strip mall
Great food, fun little drink robot server scootin' around. Food service is fast for orders ordered directly from the menu. Some sushi pieces on the belt are often taken so if you really want one of those just order directly on the menu. They serve more than just sushi in case you're not a fan of sushi but want to go with friends.Get 30 sushi plates and get a little vending machine toy. Red plates of the same shape count.Wheelchair accessibility: The isles are a little narrow and a person in a wheelchair might have trouble navigating around the restaurant. Not sure if there is a wheelchair spot immediately at the entrance as that will eliminate the need for traveling around the restaurant, but travel to the bathroom will still be difficult.
The sushi was good but you're basically paying for the experience more than the actual food or service.Food: In the end husband and I paid $70 for 15 plates (2-3 pieces on each), tip and tax. For that price you could have gotten way more somewhere else with better quality. A few items were also out like the snow crab.Service: The staff walked us to our seat and explained the setup, how to order and that was it from them, we didn't see them again. Your order water refills on the machine and the robot brings it to you.Kura Reward: if you're hoping to get reward points on your purchase make sure to checkout at the register and have them scan your QR. We were told that as long as you checkout on the machine by your seating area with your phone number it would get applied. It's been a week and I've seen nothing. Other people in our group who sat in other stalls also never got their points.
Kura is a great place. I myself am not a big fan of sushi. However, my family loves sushi. There's a hot food menu for non sushi lovers. If you order a cold drink, then a little robot comes by to deliver your drinks. Waiting for a table can sometimes be long but it's worth the wait.Definitely had a great time. I'll be visiting again soon.
