The Hut - Fort Myers

This restaurant is fantastic, offering a diverse range of delicious food! The homestyle cooking is outstanding, and the Prime Rib is simply divine. The atmosphere is enjoyable, and the waitstaff is friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend The Hut to my friends and family without hesitation. The prices are also very reasonable. It’s a wonderful spot for a family meal.

I visited The Hut on Sunday after enjoying some blues music at the nearby Buckingham Bar. Our group opted to have dinner outside to soak in the live entertainment. I ordered the corn flake-crusted fried chicken, which comes with two sides; I chose mac and cheese and green bean casserole. Everything was delicious and quite filling. The dish included two large boneless chicken breasts, which was more than I could eat, so one will be my lunch for tomorrow. I highly recommend this place!

We opted for the specials: I ordered the red snapper and my friend chose the barbecue special. My red snapper, priced at $18.95, was overcooked and dry, with the skin still on the bottom—perhaps their attempt to salvage it. The collard and mustard greens had a rubbery texture, were barely cooked, and lacked any flavor. My macaroni and cheese had clearly been left under a heat lamp for too long, as it was all stuck together. My friend's barbecue special, which cost $15.95, included six small baby back ribs and a piece of chicken. While the barbecue sauce brushed on top was tasty, the sides were disappointing. The collard greens were bland, and the corn on the cob was soggy. As for the service, it was decent; our waitress made an effort to be attentive but continually forgot our requests for water and lemons. Overall, The Hut was a significant letdown. It's a beautiful venue, but they have a long way to go in terms of food quality. I won’t be returning until I hear that things have improved dramatically.

Good menu good service and the atmosphere was relaxed. We played a few games of pool to wait out the rainy weather. The music was good as well. We will have to come back to check out their dinner and food because what came out of the kitchen looked really good!

Definitely, come check this place out! Best food and drinks in the area! The staff are all great! Especially, Erik! Tonight I had the New England Clam Chowder!
