First and foremost, when I entered the restaurant/seafood market, I was greeted by a horrible smell—rancid fish. It didn’t smell like the ocean or fresh seafood; it was the scent of fish that was spoiling. My second reason for never returning is the service. Coming from the South, I’ve always been taught to greet people when you enter a room. I did just that, but as the only customer present, I was surprised not to receive a greeting in return. I could see that there were two employees working, and they made eye contact with me when I spoke, yet still failed to acknowledge me. No matter how appealing the food may look, I won’t be dining there!
We only picked up due the Hurricane Ian, but the food was fantastic. The portion was also significant, I highly recommend ?
Good old fashion fish joint. Well worth the venture into the interesting part of town it's located in. Great staff and great food.
Trap House is a hidden Gem! Seafood is fresh. The seasoning is not overwhelming. It's worth the money. A must visit. I will put on my traveler's list of places to eat.
I'm from Maryland so my expectations of seafood especially crabs is very high. The June boil was okay. Very oily with garlic. Not that tasty like I'm used to. Corn was over cooked. Doesn't satisfy my seafood craving.
