Awesome experience. Food was great and so was the service

Finally decided to try this place last year and really fell for the place. Definitely like stepping back in time, in a great way. Love the vibes in here and the food is pretty good. Service was awesome and the drinks are poured with love!

I can overlook the several mistakes in our order, as our waitress seemed to forget or mix up what we asked for. However, what I can't overlook is the outrageous pricing for mediocre food. The shrimp was overcooked and tough, which was especially disappointing at $30. To make matters worse, we paid an additional $4 for a fully-loaded baked potato, which arrived with only a tiny bit of cheese and bacon, and it completely lacked the chives that were supposed to be included for that extra charge. I won't be coming back here when I can get similarly high-priced meals that are actually cooked and seasoned properly just a short walk away.

The restaurant could use significant updating. I ended up sitting at the bar even though many tables were open and I was told there would be a 15-minute wait. My salad had a rotten tomato in it. However, I ordered the specials of the day, which were quite tasty, and the oysters were just okay.

Not impressed. The oysters were both overpriced and small. The gumbo was mostly filled with jalapeños, which was a letdown.
