The Alte Zollwache is a rustic restaurant in the old town of Höchst. Located right next to the Supreme Castle, there are typical Hessian home cooking with Bavarian beer: . My first visit was quite crowded, but the boss found a place for me. The food is really delicious and the service is also very friendly. In my opinion, price levels are absolutely fine for the performance offered. A main court costs between 10 and 20 euros and is therefore completely within the framework. In summer you can sit directly on the highest castle square and enjoy the sun.
During an evening walk we fryed and we returned here to advise our friends to drink a warm apple wine. We were really served large glasses for two euros each. Very delicious wine. The facility is rustic, the staff friendly. But as has been written, the place is well visited, for larger rounds you should reserve already. Recommended.
If you always want to sit outside summer, you really have to be lucky. Many places are occupied. But we were lucky. We just drank. In front of the historical backdrop in the old town of Höchst with half-timbered houses and the highest castle, it is really nice to sit out here. There are many cyclists who make a stop here. For me, it's a nice outing place close to Main.
Very nicely located at the old highest castle place As soon as it gets warm and the beer garden has nothing but opened. You sit there absolutely idyllic the beer garden is then really well visited and sometimes you are looking for space in vain. Drink his cider and watch the colorful drive...
