Mutter Ernst - Frankfurt

This was the best meal I had in Frankfurt on my 5 day trip. The decor feels like a modern take on an old-style German restaurant, and the atmosphere was very nice. Clean too. The reasonable prices and large dining area make it great spot for families, tourists and local businesspeople alike. Our server was happy to make recommendations (she spoke English well too) and they did not disappoint. If you want to try traditional German food and Frankfurt green sauce, this is the place to go. Our table had the pork schnitzel and meatloaf with fried egg and both were cooked to perfection. The fry on the schnitzel was hot and fresh and both meals were so savory. The potato salad was excellent too. This is the first place I would recommend to anyone visiting Frankfurt who wants to try German food and I would return in a heartbeat.

A fantastic meal that is truly traditional for the region of Hesse in Frankfurt. Not fancy food on a plate, just amazing flavours. Recipes that have been handed down though the family. I met one of the family who is 4th generation for this restaurant. Very friendly and had time for a tourist. Everyone coming to Frankfurt should try this restaurant

I appreciate the English menu option and very friendly staff. Food was wonderful and the service was great. Lots of food and drink options. I especially love that you have options to eat indoors or outdoors. Will definitely come back again when we're in Frankfurt.

Food selection is limited, however, the location is amazing and the outdoor seating is so cozy. Great beer selection!
