The first time I came tried the burger and fell in LOVE. It’s a thick steak burger, not a smash burger like other places in DT. My stepmom got the Hot Chicken BLT that looked sooooooo good… that I came back the next day and tried it! Pictures below!! Service is incredible as well! I have been three times now and the service has been stellar every time! Just make sure to enter at the main entrance, even if you want to eat outside. Bar service is first come first serve of course! The only SLIGHT disadvantage is that service can be a bit slow when they get busy-ish; which is absolutely 100% fine by me! If you want a quick burger… walk next door to Burger Dandy (which is ALSO fantastic! . On service though… I constantly heard servers/bartenders asking if each other was ok or if they needed any support. And instead of just blindly saying “yes” or whatnot… they were actually communicated what they needed and they helped each other out!!! Just a sign of some fantastic management to enable that kind of culture!
American Gastropub with a diverse menu with a really good beer selection. The staff are great from greeter to GM and our server Barb was great. Started off with Sticky Sriracha Wings piping hot, fresh out of the oven and yummy. Sauce was spicy and sweet and the Wings were juicy. Main for me was IPA Ribs with Garlic Mash and Broccolini. Flat mate got the Chopped Steak same sides. Ribs were a bit tough the outer bark was a bit too far, too leathery but the meat itself was still tender. Sauce was tasty. Side were good as well. Finished with the Chocolate Tart, Flatmate got the Pecan Pie. Both were spectacular. Here's the Breakdown: Top notch staff +1 star; yummy Wings +1 star; great desert +1 star; bright and clean interior +1 star. Missed 5 stars because of the Ribs but a for sure go back.
Great spot for a gigantic burger and great beer selection. Small menu with several options from seafood, chicken and salads. We were able sit outside and the atmosphere was nice, but some of the vehicle traffic was annoying. I know the restaurant has nothing to do with that, but just know that the outdoor seating isn't far from the main road. Spinach Artichoke Dip and the Hot Crab Dip we're both good starters. All of our entrees were very good. My only reason for giving 4 stars for service was because it took a long time in between courses...apps, dinner, getting the check. Our server was very friendly and attentive, it just took a lot longer than I felt it should have. We were there for 2 hours for a Tuesday night dinner that wasn't overly busy.
We had a great time and dinner tonight. My wife had the salmon and I had the roasted chicken. Both dishes were fantastic and flavorful. Finished off with a tres Leche slice of cake, it's big. Our waiter Taylor did a great job. We enjoyed the live music, but it wasn't loud so we could enjoy our conversations. Overall great experience. We will be back.
The food was awful. Had fish and chips and the fish was soggy and tasted terrible. I sent it back. The server was very apologetic and tried to be helpful, including offering a substitute, but my appetite had left the building. They comped 50% of my check, but I would rather have had good food. The live music was good and the crowd was pretty friendly, so it wasn't a total loss. They need to get their act together, though.
