Big Shake's Hot Chicken Fish - Franklin

I had an extra catfish added to my order because I couldn't do it through UberEats, and they also included cheese on their salad. I ordered plain catfish with 3 pieces. The beans had a different taste than I expected and I didn't enjoy them. The sides did not have any pork added, which was a positive aspect for me. Everything else tasted delicious. I look forward to ordering from them again. I hope they add fries to the UberEats menu because I need them with my catfish.

Nice local spot.. real deal with good quality sides. Its also not infested with hipster tourists the way Hattie Bs is. As a bonus they offer a shrimp burger too and its better than it sounds. Try their loaded hot chicken fries too..

Whenever I crave Nashville's famous Hot Chicken, Big Shakes is always at the top of my list. I am never disappointed by the food here. They have a great variety of spice levels for the chicken so you can make it as hot as you want. I personally love their fried fish and shrimp burgers. The restaurant has a cozy and intimate atmosphere, and sometimes there is live music featuring local talent. Overall, Big Shakes is a fantastic choice for delicious food and a fun dining experience.

You should definitely add Big Shakes to your list of must-try hot chicken spots, alongside Hattie B's and Prince's. Their flavorful chicken is less oily than many other places, and you won't find any overwhelming orange bread slices here. The generous portions are well-priced and the sides are more than just okay. While they may recommend the greens, don't overlook the white beans. And if you're not a chicken fan, the catfish is worth a visit on its own. Just go try it out!

My preferred hot chicken purveyor! Many are good, but this is my favorite. Mac n cheese is on point. Rambo is ideal. Seasoned fries are a great side in store, but don't really take out well. Just try them!
