Corner Pub Cool Springs - Franklin

This is a lovely restaurant that is not associated with the Corner Bar and is far more appealing.

What an absolutely terrible establishment. My husband and I stopped in before a concert last night because from what I had seen on Google it seemed to be decent…whew, I was wrong.Esmeralda, our less than attentive waitress, needs to learn how to actually wait tables and maybe someone can teach her how to be pleasant- or at the very least, fake it.I ordered the meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and green beans. I took 2 bites of the meatloaf and noticed it was not quite fully cooked and wasn’t very warm. My husband asked if she could take it back and have them heat it up. She came back a few minutes later and when I cut it in half to help it cool down, it did not look right. My appetite was gone. The only thing I had been able to eat much of was the potatoes, and I’m not sure I even ate half of those.I told her my appetite was ruined by the whole thing and she said, “Oh, I’m sorry” and proceeded to bring us the check. Despite not eating hardly anything, we were being charged for my dinner. My husband asked if there was any way a manager could comp my meal. She said she would ask a manager and I’m not 100% of the conversation after that because I had excused myself to use the restroom.I was flabbergasted that she didn’t tell anyone that I wasn’t pleased with my food. In fact, I don’t remember her offering to get me something else instead.I’m not sure if this was a fluke or not, but it was completely awful. And you might want to put some roach bait in the restrooms as well.

This place is the best place in Franklin for Karaoke.It's done by a very good company on Thursday nights and we always have a great time.

I've been to a couple of the Corner Pubs, and this one has been my favorite.Tootsie was the best lunchtime beertender I've had in a while. Helpful, knowledgeable, and a tiny bit of sass. Great combo.I had the country fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy and broccoli with a zippy cheese sauce.Chicken was crispy and juicy, potatoes were soft with a yummy brown gravy, and the broccoli, while softer than I like, was plentiful with a great cheese sauce.Here's the Breakdown:Great service from Tootsie (No Decaf) +1 star; tasty food +1 star; big, open room with a real bar feel +1 star; great beer selection +1 star; some greeting me and getting me food +1 star (there's a story that I'll tell you if we ever meet).I'll go back.

Dustin was our server, and he was fantastic! He was attentive without being intrusive, and he also had a great sense of humor.
