Taking my time to leave a review after years of being invited here and honestly..Food is completely tasteless I only can eat 2 items out of the whole buffet and that’s the hibachi and the pho.The kitchen in that area is so dirty I don’t even know how they can have a open window showing everyone what a muck the kitchen is.The sushi has overwhelming amounts of cream cheese.The seafood is over cooked hard and tasteless.The beef brócoli and the chicken with broccoli is also never replenished and if so mainly has onions and not even Pugh meat.Asparagus is hard and crunchy and undercooked.Dessert bar is disappointing and could definitely use some help.Some prepackaged desserts may even be a better option.Flies everywhere on our food.The white rice they cook in the rice cooker is always stale hard and tasteless.The meats are rubbery and chewy and again tasteless.All I taste is oil in all the food except the rice.I truly believe if someone is passionate about their business they will take feedback and really ensure they have the right amount of seasoning and clean the grease to change it with new grease.I have left sick the times I have gone and am never satisfied.The food tastes bland with no flavor pork tastes like old pork chops.The hibachi area lacks cleanliness.Shrimp shouldn’t be in the noodles.If you have allergies to seafood or peanuts this isn’t your place to go.I really feel like this location would be a huge hit if the hibachi was cleaned and sanitized.This business has potential and really should prove it with ensuring the staff is adding enough seasonings and less oil.Any time ID come here I leave with a face of disappointment.Drinks should be complimentary with how often the drinks taste flat and watery it’s only fair.

Always crowded on the weekend. First time I ever had to wait for anything at the buffet was yesterday. Not long though. They don't mess around keeping food ready! Tip well because the service is amazing considering the amount of people they take care of! ? Fresh sushi is always amazing!Food: 4/5

In the several years that Lovers Lane Buffet has been open, I've eaten there a few dozen times almost always for lunch right when they open at 11:00 so that he food is fresh and the restaurant is not crowded.When it comes to actual Chinese food (and not the sushi, salad bar, desserts, and variety of non Chinese items), the Chinese cuisine is merely FAIR. For such an overall large buffet, I wish a few more main Chinese entrees were offered, and I feel that their entree offerings are somewhat lacking in vegetables. I haven't eaten there in a few months, but I noticed the last several times I dined in at lunch, they haven't had the garlic green beans which are one of my favorite items offered by many large Chinese buffets. One of my favorite things about Chinese cuisine is the dishes with vegetables. How many deep fried, sweet glazed chicken dishes do you need? A few of the other entrees and appetizers that I have enjoyed over the years have disappeared from their rotation, so I have been less inclined to return to Lovers Lane.In my opinion, there are many better buffet options in the Milwaukee area for quality and/or variety of Chinese dishes. That being said, considering the food offerings as a whole, Lovers Lane is price competitive and the building has a nice, spacious atmosphere.

It was my first time going here, im a huge sushi fan so hearing a sushi buffet exist i had to check it out! They had a big selection of food, not as much sushi as i hoped but overall everything tasted good considering buffet food sits out and tries to stay warm and fresh. Probably 1 of the biggest buffets ive been too and was certainly busy. Only complaint was staff doesnt explain how service works and it would have a classier feel if they interacted with you more while youre dining rather than popping by every now and then to clear plates but overall a very nice place and id recommend everyone to check it out.
