The Tom Kha soup was extremely flavorful with just the right amount of heat (your choice of spice level 1-5, I got the 4), spices and lemongrass. Sometimes lemongrass can either be too strong or not present at all, but at Sweet Basil the flavors were all in perfect balance. The best part was that I wanted a curry but omitting certain ingredients and adding others. They were very accommodating and I received the perfect bowl of curry just the way I like it and it too was perfectly flavored, just like the soup.Sweet Basil will not disappoint, I look forward to going back to try their other dishes!
I fell in love with this modern take on Thai food! Beautiful plates and restaurant. My family and I had the yellow curry, Jeow bong noodles both with chicken and they tasted fresh and had high quality chicken. We also tried the crab rangoons and fresh spring rolls and loved them for our appetizers. If you have room for dessert try the coconut milk mango sticky rice!! My family and I love Thai Laos food and we are very pleased with our experience at Sweet Basil<3 we will be coming back!
Stopped here for the first time tonight. There were so many delicious looking options on the menu. I ordered the pad Thai which was absolutely delicious! This is definitely my new favorite restaurant. Can't wait to bring friends and family here! There are so many more things I want to try.Vegetarian options: They were vegan and gluten-free options as well.Kid-friendliness: High chairs availableParking: In a strip mall parking lot.
My daughters and I ate at Sweet Basil for the first time over a week ago. I have been wanting to scratch this restaurant off of my To eat at list for a long while now.First, I want to say that the staff is incredibly helpful and pleasant. It 's hard to find this nowadays when dining out, so I was grateful for that. The establishment was very clean and well kept. There is a self service station to the left of the ordering counter where you can grab plates, utensils, water, to go containers, etc.We had gotten the crab rangoons, the OG platter, a mango boba smoothie and thai iced coffee. If you get the OG platter, make sure to get extra sticky rice because there 's enough meat to feed three hungry adults! We ended up getting two more orders of sticky rice for the remainder of the meal and our leftovers to have at home. (Btw, dipping sticky rice into the papaya salad juice and eating with the Lao sausage is where it 's at lol)The crab rangoons were delicious perfectly cooked and the right balance of flavors, with the dipping sauce. You can tell that the food here is made with a lot of love and has excellent attention to detail as well as fresh ingredients and bold flavors. We enjoyed our first visit and will definitely be returning in the future to try other menu items that I had my eye on, such as the panang curry and the pad thai. Please support this family owned small business! Your taste buds will thank you. ?
Love this place! This is my reason to make the drive to Franklin. The food was hot, fresh and flavorful. And the service was great. Definitely try the chili special if they have it. I’ve also tried the panang curry, pasta kee mao, the thai tea, tropical punch, mango and sticky rice, fried apple egg rolls and the lod chung drink. You can’t go wrong with any of it. Will definitely be back to try other things!
