What Cha Got - Fredericksburg East

We went here today for lunch. It was delicious !!! We had the colossal Turkey leg with Brussels and black eyed peas , the chicken and waffles, and the pulled pork with Mac and cheese. All of our choices were delicious and exceeded our expectations!! I am thrilled to have some soul food here in Fredericksburg. The service was also great : we will be repeat customers for sure !

Excellent southern soul food! We dropped by the Münch Food Park which has 6 food trucks offering a variety of options. We decided upon What Cha Got for lunch and enjoyed it so much that we returned for dinner too. For lunch we had chicken&waffles and pulled pork sliders with a side of delicious, brown sugar yams. Yummmmmy! We had to return for dinner to try the garlic parmesan and BBQ wings with a side of bacon mac&cheese. More yummmmmmy! The recipes are handed down from chef Derek's mom and he smokes all his own meat right at the food truck. We are just sad that we won't be around on the weekend when Derek cooks his mom's southern ribs. Great venue with picnic tables, covered seating, at night there's live music and a central bar.Safe Travels

Dereck is truly a food magician! I have had amazing food or at least i thought I did until we had Dereck's fried chicken and collards. I do not like collards but it seems if Dereck had touched it.. it's just wow good regardless of what it is! This man has THE touch when it comes to flavor. Seriously he will ruin you for any other fried chicken, because you'll never like it anywhere else after his! Thank you Dereck, please keep doing what you're doing. We LOVE it!

Absolutely delicious food!!!!!! Highly recommend. Had red beans and rice with cornbread and ribs, collard greens and Mac and Cheese. You won’t be disappointed!
