My man, a fried new englander, said it was the best lobster he had ever had! we loved the experience of sitting directly on a live angeldock, but in a comfortable picnic like setting up with other friendly new englanders and people on holiday. the scene of the five insulates that surround them is almost like them on a film set. if you're in the opposite, it's a must!
My favorite lobster place in Maine. Great lobster, great view. A real working dock with fishermen coming and going.
The lobster shack is closed for the season, but still a wonderful place to sit look out over the harbor.
Interesting little spot. Nice view. Good lobster roll. The roll was super meaty. There are only portable bathrooms here and no hand washing stations so maybe hit a gas station on your way in. There is also a strong smell of old fish which was hard for me to handle while I was eating. But overall it was a cool stop. I don't know if I'd go out of my way to get there again but I'm glad I did it once.
