Goldener Stern - Friedberg

The best surprise of my trip to Bavaria was this wonderful restaurant in the countryside. The food was delicious and far beyond my expectations. My companions and I shared a variety of appetizers fresh tomatoes mozzarella salad, shrimp, salmon and beef. Each...was delicious with beautiful presentation prepared with fruit, vegetables and herbs fresh from the garden. For the main course we had traditional beef with potato dumplings and red cabbage, steak with fresh root vegetables and sweet potato fries and fish with risotto. We also had beer, wine with dinner, cappuccino espresso and wonderful fruits and sorbet desserts. It was the perfect end of a wonderful German adventure. I hope one day to enjoy the hospitality and the wonderful food.

Despite our limited German, we were welcomed by employees and locals in this great hotel. We shared a table with locals in the beautiful beer garden on the back. Although we were a little novelty coming from Australia, we all helped beer and food with a smile... Thank you. The best salad I had on our trip was here - the fresh Buffalo Mozarella and local tomatoes served with fresh basil with garlic crustins was exalted! I say that people travel long distances to eat here, which is no surprise and explains the busy nature of this wonderful place. Very recommended.

I was in the Augsburg business unit and the customer wanted to bring us to a special place for dinner and boy was right! I wouldn't have asked for a better experience and everything was the first sentence. This place is so unique...and it really embodies the farm to table concept. The service is attentive and the food is simply amazing from the hook! If you are in the Augsburg region, this is an experience not missed!
