I found 2 tiny pieces that I estimate to 10 grams each, the rest was som vegetables which didn't taste good. That's nothing than monkey business and we had to pay in cash, no credit cards allowed. Avoid the place if you can. There are some nice restaurants in Fuengirola but this one was the worst one we experienced.
The location is great. Right on the beach. The food was ok not great but the thing that was really annoying is the time it took to mix some cocktails together. Unbelievable while there is no shortage of staff. We ordered some two of the same cocktails in different rounds took half an hour per cocktail to reach the table) and they tasted completely different. It can not be so hard.
My twin brother Stephen and I were walking down Paseo Maritimo Rey De Espana in the area near Fuengirola when we decided to drop into Chiringuito Videra as temperatures hit the 90's ,been here before on previous holidays to Fuengirola ,always had a great time and so it proved on our latest visit. I love the look of this chiringuito ,it's traditional,a light and airy interior ,a cool looking serving bar ,great decor and furnishings ,a sardine shack outside ,lots of seating options both inside and outside looking out and over to the beautiful beach and Mediterranean Sea beyond,it's just a great chiringuito to chill out in. We were here on a blisteringly hot afternoon ,we sat outside after ordering bottles of San Miguel beer ,served freezing cold ,we chilled out and took in the great chiringuito we were in while sipping our beers. A big fan of this beer ,it's a golden ,light and hoppy beer perfect for the hot climate out here along the Costa Del Sol ,when this beer is served iced cold and sparkling as in this chiringuito it's such a delicious beer indeed,it was just so good being in such a wonderful chiringuito enjoying a delicious beer and sat with my twin brother Stephen, best beer companion in the world. We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and as on every previous visit to here we had a great time. Chiringuito Videra is easy to locate along Paseo Maritimo Rey De Espana. Opening hours are ; Monday to Sunday,10am till midnight. Well worth checking out if you're in the area .
We went here for our evening meal and had a menu of the day. To be honest we didn't expect much for €16. The restaurant is an authentic chiringuito on the beach. The interior was clean, spacious with traditional beach features. The menu of the day had a good choice. We had the prawns in garlic and the smoked salmon to start with accompanied by a nice complimentary bottle of rioja. We both had salmon fillet for mains and creme caramel and chocolate mousse for dessert. The food was a decent sized portion and very tasty. The waiters were excellent with great service, giving a break between each course, even though the restaurant was busy. I would recommend this restaurant based on the menu del dia.
Pros .Great value for money sardines. Ironically the cost of the water was more or less the same price as the fish. Cons.. they only accept cash, no credit cards!!!!!!
