Eating here was a pleasure. The food is made from all fresh ingredients locally sourced and is made freshly made while you wait. (Which was not long). We shared a starter and had vegetable spring roll with homemade sweet chilli sauce. It was so delicious we regretted sharing. For mains I had Prawn fried rice and my husband had chicken stir fry. Generous portion size and mouth wateringly delicious. The Chef and hostess were friendly and welcoming. The restaurant itself resembles a cafe but the food is on a level with a great restaurant and too boot it’s great value for money will definitely be returning when we visit Madeira later in the year
Listen up Americans. Eat here. My boyfriend and I (from the states) went here craving some indian food. The menu says that the items are sold mild but can spice it up on request. We had the best/ MOST friendly Indian waiter who asked what kind of spice we wanted from 0-10. I asked for 8. My boyfriend asked for 9. Our waiter did a double take and then proceeded to ask us where we were from in the states… we told him the Midwest. Now, I know what you’re thinking…. ‘The Midwest knows nothing about food or spice’ and you’re right. BUT we have spent most of our life eating Indian food from all over the country… and we always order level 7 anyyyywhere we go. After his hesitancy, he said we could do a taste tester with our appetizer. He brought out a spice to add to it and it was spicy. We told him it was great. Our meals come, and mine is nearly too spicy to eat- but in my eyes, thats perfect. Justttttttt on the verge of not being able to handle it. I like to get a little sweat going, and feel the spice warm me up from my belly to my skull. I tried my boyfriends, his was a cream based dish so our friendly Indian waiter said that it will be hot, but the cream will mellow it out, so eat slow (Of course). A little while later he circles back to make sure it’s spicy enough for us. We are both sweating, water is gone and we got a little shake to our leg because it’s uncomfortable. Best Indian food we have ever had. He looks down and says ‘good, I gave you a level 3’ God bless that man. God bless him. Go eat here and get humbled. Ps- the place is VERY small, and has outdoor seating but couldn’t risk lowering the star value. If there’s a wait, then wait. It’s worth it.
This is simply amazing, food, service and the staff are just fantastic. Front of house as well as the chef, both outstanding. Will be back
Big book dishes from South Asia! the service can be slow, but the owner is really nice and the authenticity of the dishes makes completely wait for.
