Terreiro - Funchal

Placed in a beautiful garden and part of the Savoy complex this place is a marvelous place for a event or a romantic dinner. I had the pork croquettes starter, grilled octopus mains and chocolate mouse dessert. All tasty and well prepared, though I’m subtracting one star for some inconsistancies in dishes served to others at my table. Also, be aware, portion sizes are BIG

We enjoyed a very nice dinner here. We had not booked and the place was absolutely packed (lots of big tables for celebrations by the looks of it , but they offered us a very nice table on the outside terrace with the heating lamps keeping us at a nice temperature. We ordered some cod and shrimp cakes to start, which had a very nice bouncy texture. Then, the suckling pig and lobster gyoza melt in your mouth, and the sweet potato and pickled onion and cabbage worked very well with it. Would gladly come back for another visit, the overall decor and atmosphere is very nice (the bar/lounge downstairs looked lovely! , and there was plenty more on the menu that sounded interesting.

Me senti um pouco especial aqui. Quando reservamos, perguntaram-nos se tínhamos alguma alergia. Isso é algo que minha esposa, que tem doença celíaca, aprecia muito. Assim que nos sentamos, alguém apareceu à mesa para aconselhar o cardápio. A comida era boa e abundante. Uma garrafa de Chardonnay parecia um pouco cara por 41€, mas apareceu na conta por 31€, que foi então descontada em mais 20% graças à nossa adesão ao Vacation Club. A decoração e a atmosfera eram boas e o serviço impecável. Concordo com alguns outros usuários que a comida não era especialmente especial, mas ainda assim perfeitamente adequada e agradável.
