I’d also hope to eat it with a steak knife, not what seemed to be a butter knife. Or am I hoping for too much? I agree with other reviews hit and miss and overpriced for anyone not on a corporate account.
Frankly, dissapointed, ordered grilled prawns and herb bread for entrees, bread good, prawns overcooked just enough so the only way to eat them was to peel them out with your fingers
I saw another review describing this restaurant as hit and miss and to be frank, nothing could sum up our experience more accurately than this. Everything about the place was hit and miss, from the service, to the quality and taste of the food. Some of it was simply brilliant and some was total ****. Some I would only expect at a five star restaurant and some, I 'd expect better at a cafeteria.... We came with a group of 11 adults and three kids, looking to have a special dinner somewhere close to the airport as some of our group arrived that evening and other left. Service was extremely patchy. The place seemed very understaffed for the number of tables and the waiters and waitresses seemed underexperienced and flustered. The style is almost fine dining but then with cutlery in a bucket, or dumped on the table a few minutes after the food. The wait staff were super friendly when they did serve us... Event
First time ever to the hotel and restaurant. A fixed-price menu was outstanding on Christmas Day, in choices of greens, nibbles and different meat slices. The staff were buzzing around, re-filling glasses and dishes and constantly attendant. The Italian Chianti was an inspired choice, as a light red wine on a rather hot day. Gluten-free choices were readily supplied. Overall, the place was light-filled and pleasant with families' chatter and laughter. An extremely pleasant place to spend being waited on, with delicious food and wine.
My dining experience at the Hotel restaurant last night for dinner was disappointing. The limited menu options, including hamburgers and pizza, were not what I expected when I visited the restaurant for a special occasion. Additionally, the barman was unable to make certain cocktails due to a lack of ingredients, and when I tried to customize a pizza order, I was told they didn't have the ingredients. The food we did order, a margarita pizza and battered fish, were just okay. However, serving lemon wedges with seeds is not acceptable. I recommend informing customers in advance about any menu changes and addressing these issues to improve the overall dining experience.
