La King's Confectionery - Galveston

Whenever we visit Galveston, we always make sure to stop by La King's Confectionery! Recently, we brought some friends who had never been before, and they absolutely loved it. My mother was thrilled to find dark chocolate orange bark in the candy section, and she also picked out some sugar-free chocolates for my father - the sugar-free selection is quite impressive! Our kids always go for the mint chocolate and chocolate ice cream, which are their favorites. Personally, I love the chocolatesada. We were delighted to see that the tables and chairs for customers to use have been brought back - it encouraged us to stay longer and spend more money! Watching the Taffy machine in the back was a fun experience for all of us. The staff is always fantastic at pulling taffy and entertaining visitors. If you have trouble finding parking, there is a lot on Harbor Drive and 23rd Street for just $7 - definitely worth it for the convenience.

This soda fountain and candy shop offers a variety of treats including ice cream, shakes, malts, fudge, and more. Step inside and enjoy the delicious offerings while immersing yourself in the charming atmosphere that feels like a step back in time. Their homemade ice cream is a standout, especially their special apple, peach, and pumpkin varieties. Don't miss the mesmerizing sight of the candyman pulling saltwater taffy right in front of you – it's always a showstopper. La Kings has become a tradition for my husband and me, and we are thrilled to now share it with our loved ones. Hopefully, they will appreciate it as much as we do!

Consistently excellent and welcoming. The hot fudge sundaes are heavenly. The kids always request that we return to sit at the tables and chairs. A visit to La Kings is essential for any trip. I have never been disappointed.

Taffy was not creamy was old no taste chocolates were the same not fresh at all would not recommend to anyone very disappointed
