I started with a few crabs filled fried jalapenos, six raw oysters with an absolutely perfect stout horse, and then some coal drilled oysters. I had the Bourbon Street platter that contained their rubber bears, Jambalaya, shrimps and green beans. All were excellent, but I fell in love with her Edofee. My wife had the coconut yarn plate and enjoyed every bite. Our waiter Dmitri was attentive and helpful throughout the entire culinary experience. We would go back very happy!
Very nice. It is clean, and on a picturesque small street with lots of shopping for clothes and antiques, etc. But the restaurant! What a beautiful piece New Orleans and French/Cajun cuisine. The waiting staff is very friendly, it is not too expensive and “sufficient”. It's just a good food type of family restaurant. Try the rubber bear. The French frits are cooked for perfection. The elastic is authentic and amazing. There are tables to sit outside when it is nice weather. You have some great spices and hot sauce right at the table in real Cajun style. Alligator is also on the menu...taste like chicken don't know you. The Calamari is a great starter and the beignets are a perfect finish for a great meal.
My experience with Little Daddy was great! I came here one night after I settled in my hotel room. When I went to this place, I knew it would be good. I came here with another person. We started drinking with two hurricanes. You weren't disappointed. After the drinks we decided to order 4 appetizers instead of having dinner. And I think that was a good decision. It allowed us to try more things on the menu. When the food came, everything was delicious. We ordered the fried oysters, shrimp cocktails, the Gumbo Bar garbage and Jambalaya. It was all fantastic. It was quite convenient for what you got: 2 large mixed drinks, 2 beers, 4 delicious foods and a T-shirt. All for about $100. I don't think it's bad. Overall, I would eat here every day if I could.
This place was perfect for a cold day on the island. the hawn and the sausage has a dark roux and was perfectly spiced. the gator and the roasted pickles were both hot and crispy. the garlic bread was nice to dive into the huge bowl of the rubber. our waitress was attentive and filled drinks often. eating came hot and quite fast. they forgot my order of sweet potato fries, but I didn't have a place to eat them anyway.
Picked Little Daddy's out of soo many others. Best choice I made. When we arrived we were told about an hour wait. But we were actually seated very quickly. The hostess (both of them) were awesome and we had a few good laughs while waiting, it was a busy evening and they looked like they could use a bit of comedy relief. Our waitress Lacey was amazing tended to everything we needed. Drinks were superbly made, but the food was out of this world! Best Gumbo, Jambalaya and Etouffee I had west of Louisiana. I love how they prepare the gumbo in these little boiling pots. It is a definite MUST RETURN and worth the wait. Prices are very reasonable as well.
