Stopped for breakfast. Quaint little local place. Friendly people, good authentic food. We’ll be back again.
Primo's is a dive, but the staff is nice. The issue is that evertime we go, the ingredients in our burritos are either mixed up or just plain forgotten (today my potatoes were in my husband's burrito). This has been our experience for years and why we eat here occasionally. Chips and salsa are also $3.75, seems a tad high. The diet soda was expired on the cans but tasted fine. The green sauce for the burritos was very boring, some jalapeno was detectable, but zero heat. The bacon in my burrito was fried beyond recognition and all I could really taste was the pico....maybe an off day for the cook? Also my burrito was a grease bomb, which was odd considering that it was beans, pico, egg, hard bacon, and very little cheese (would expect that with chorizo or the normal amount of cheese). We may be back again, but it will be a very long time. Parking: A few spaces in front, more by the other shops.
I was looking for a small place to have breakfast and Primo’s did not disappoint. The seating area was just right for meet-ups, with Latin treatments on the windows and walls, and some paintings. Endless coffee was served all around me. I had the huevos rancheros and the serving size was more than the price would typically have indicated. I will definitely earmark this one for a return visit.
Excellent food and service! A great hidden gem in Galveston! Their chorizo and egg plate, tortillas and salsas are the best!
