Mel's Blueplate Diner - Galveston

Without a doubt, this place serves the best burgers, fries, and hand-dipped onion rings on the island! The fantastic customer service provided by the staff adds to the overall dining experience, making for a wonderful meal. Plus, the prices are incredibly reasonable, especially considering it's on the island!

I highly recommend this place for lunch if you're looking for freshly prepared food. We tried the cheeseburger and shrimp po'boy with fries, and everything was fantastic. They also offer a daily special that we're excited to try next time. The food here is excellent and very affordable for Galveston. We will definitely be returning!

This restaurant is excellent! We ordered the shrimp po' boys, and they were incredibly fresh. I highly recommend them!

That was our first visit to Mel's. The double meat of Hamburger Spezial was incredible. It was huge and it was the best burgers and pommes I ever tasted. Requisite to the whole staff, especially Rebecca. Can't wait to try anything else! TLow 7/19/21

I wouldn't normally go to a convenience store for lunch, but the reviews drew me in and I wasn't disappointed. Everything was made to order, the burger was huge and so tasty. I will be returning soon.
