Soul 2 Soul - Galveston

The owner of this restaurant is a delightful and warm person with a real talent for customer service. The food is absolutely fantastic, and I can honestly say it's probably a good thing I don't live in Galveston—otherwise, my wallet would be in trouble! The fish and shrimp were seasoned and fried to absolute perfection; they had a lovely crispy crust on the outside and were juicy on the inside. The roasted chicken is exceptional—moist, tender, and it practically falls off the bone with little effort. All the side dishes were amazing, but the black-eyed peas, yams, and cornbread truly stood out to me. I would give this place a perfect 10/10 and will definitely return the next time I'm in the area.

This restaurant is fantastic! The food was outstanding and had the comforting taste of a home-cooked meal. I loved the yams, cornbread, cabbage, fried fish, French fries, and macaroni and cheese—it was all delicious! The music set the perfect vibe. It's a black-owned establishment that is worth every penny. The owner was friendly, and the Kool-Aid was incredibly refreshing! I highly recommend giving it a try, and I can't wait to go back!

Wow! If you haven't visited this place yet, you absolutely need to. Everything on the menu is incredibly delicious. The dishes are homemade and perfectly seasoned. The service is exceptionally friendly. You definitely won't regret your visit!

The food was really good and we enjoyed it. The reason I gave the food the four rating is my chicken wings were fried in fish grease and fried too hard. I suggest to keep your fish grease for fish because whatever else you fry in it will taste like fish plus have corn meal on it. Also, need more dessert such as homemade peach cobbler and homemade cakes. Awesome music playlist made me feel like two-stepping. We do plan to return next time in Galveston Texas.

So we ordered Ribs and shrimp, meatloaf, and a veggie plate. As you can see the sides are incorrect and there were only 2 containers in the bag. Mind you they did give 2 drinks. But missing the ribs and shrimp plate that was to have fried okra, and corn. The veggie plate missing cabbage and cornbread dressing. They instead decided to give double mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. I called several times with no one answering my calls and we got there to see them turn the lights off at 7:49pm.
