Gills Fish Chips - Gateshead

Well I've been ordering from gills fish shop for yrs so I'm not sure what's going on with them lately, but twice now the order has been an hr late, the food is cold, the chips omg!!! Made out of old potatoes, all bad and black not tasty at all, my pizza was hard and tasted like the mushrooms were well past the use by date, very chewyCome on gills get your act together

When they say Large Haddock , they mean large Haddock. They were huge and well cooked. The small portions of chips were more than enough and the large portions were out-facing. We were given a delivery time of one hour, which ended up being eighty minutes; partly due to the fact that from being on its way, to arriving was thirty five minutes, though we are no more than a ten minute drive away. This meant that the meal was luke warm by the time we received it. This needs to be improved, as it detracts from an otherwise good, food experience.

Our order today was extremely late to be delivered. we are a factory with set dinnertimes and 2 of our staff where unable to eat the food. The Kebab Wrap that was delivered had the garlic sauce missed off it and its replacement was a lovely piece of plastic. it took over 30 minutes for them to deliver another one so that persons lunch time was up also so couldn't eat his food either.The delivery driver was very unpleasant.

We arrived just before closing time hoping for some seafood, as this was the only restaurant still open. Despite not having much left, the staff put together a delicious meal for us. Their accommodating service was greatly appreciated.

This is not the first time that delivery from this restaurant has taken longer than initially stated. Despite the high prices in comparison to other takeaways in the area, the quality of the food was subpar. How can a pizza be cooked but have a soggy base? I will not be ordering from this restaurant again and will not be recommending it to anyone. They should consider hiring more staff and drivers to improve their service.
