Masons Deli - Gateshead

I stumbled upon Mason's while looking for somewhere to have lunch, and I was pleasantly surprised by the warm greeting and helpful recommendations from Elly, the owner. The food was ready quickly and we enjoyed our meal at Saltwell with my partner. I had the Cajun chicken jacket potato, which was delicious, while my partner had one with beans and cheese. We will definitely be returning since it is conveniently located. Overall, a great experience! Highly recommend it!

Today was my first time trying this restaurant. I was very impressed with the delicious hot beef sandwich. The portions were a good size, I couldn't finish the whole sandwich and had to save some for later. I ordered delivery online and it arrived quickly. I will definitely be ordering from here again.

I found this hidden gem in Gateshead and have been going there daily ever since. The food is delicious and affordable, especially when they have tasty specials. The portions are large and satisfying. The staff are friendly and welcoming, creating a warm, family-like atmosphere. I'm grateful to the Mason family for starting this restaurant - Sunderland is lucky to have them!

Lovely dinner,lots of veg and not over cooked,think this will be our weekly habit! and it keeps my cooker clean!!

I have been a long term regular at masons and fill my bait box most mornings before i go to work, sandwiches, salad boxes, traybakes, always with a coffee to shake off the cobwebs. I am vegan two days a week for health reasons and there are Great vegan options available that sometimes tempt me to be meat free the whole week
